Support Center How to configure AutoLinkManager?

It is recommended to configure your AutoLinkManager account before start to use our system. These configurations are needed if you wish to use our Link Manager to auto publish your link pages during link exchange process. You may change the configuration via "Link Manager - Configuration & Setting".

There are 3 sections under the Configuration & Setting page as below:
  1. Link page's template layout
  2. Template Setting
  3. Layout Style

 
  1. Link page's template layout
    Template layout defines the design layout of your link pages. AutoLinkManager provide a default standard template layout to all members. However, you are recommended to upload your own web site template when using our link exchange software. This is recommended in order to make your web site looks nicer, professional and standardize.
    Please follow steps below to learn how to define a user define template.

    How to define user template use in AutoLinkManager?
     
    First, you need to clear all the contents and leave the design layout only. Then you need to add in keyword "###BODY###" in proper location in your template. System will generate link contents and replace with keywords "###BODY###" in your link pages. Please make sure you have insert "###BODY###" keyword correctly in your templates.
     
    Warning: Incorrect, missing keyword or insert keyword in wrong location may cause system unable to generate link pages correctly.
     
    Here is a sample user define template.
    (You may download this template at http://www.qpsoft.net/links/resources_Temp.htm)
    Finally you may upload your template to our system via Upload own template field.
     
  2. Template Setting
    This sections allow you to control the link page's behavior such as link page's names, file extension, directory page's description, etc.
     
    • Pre-define link URL name
      This field will be use as pre-define link page name during publish your link page.
       
      For example, if pre-define name is "resources_" and your category name is "Business", the published link page name will be "resources_Business.htm". "resource_" added so that member can easily distinguish link pages generated by autolinkmanager.
       
      This field is not mandatory but recommended.
    • Template root directory
      This field required if your link pages store in sub directory other than website root directory.
       
      For example,
      Domain name: www.qpsoft.net (website root directory)
      Links location: www.qpsoft.net/links/resources_Business.htm
       
      So, Template root directory should be "links/"
    • FTP template path
      This field will be use during upload link pages to your web hosting if your link pages need to upload to specific folder other than web hosting ftp root folder.
       
      For example,
       
      Sample 1
      Web hosting FTP root folder (ftp path once login successful): /

      Link pages location: /links/resources_Business.htm
       

      So, FTP template path should be “links/”.
      If link pages location: /resources_Business.htm (not in sub folder "links")
      Then, FTP template path should be leave as [Blank].
       
      Sample 2
      Web hosting FTP root folder (ftp path once login successful): /
      * For some FTP server, they is 1 or more folder(s) exist and represent the public web root folder.
      * For example, "qpsoft.net" is the folder represent the web root folder.
      So, FTP template path should shows the system where to upload the fiels.

      Link pages location: /qpsoft.net/links/resources_Business.htm

       

      So, FTP template path should be “qpsoft.net/links/”.
    • File Extension
      This field will be use as link page's file extension.
       
      For example,
      if File Extension is ".htm", pre-define name is "resources_" and your category name is "Business", the published link page name will be "resources_Business.htm". User may enter other extension line .asp, aspx, .php, cfm and etc.
    • Directory page description
      This field will be show in directory page as below:
    • Submit URL Page
      If this field is turn on, "Submit URL" link will be show in directory and category page as below to allow user submit url:

       
  3. Layout Style
    This sections define the link's layout, color and etc.
    • Title Style
      This style will determine how the category title displays in category page.

    • CSS Style
      You may edit the CSS Style using in your link pages.
